Thoughts
Uncertainty produces anxiety. This is true for everyone. In times of great and prolonged uncertainty, like now, during the COVID-19 pandemic, social anxiety is more prevalent than ever. Many people have no recourse and no outside help. A very normal and understandable response to anxiety is to fight it, but the more one struggles, the harder the fight. I know the downside of anxiety all too well. The defeatism, the fatigue, the irritability, the inertia. Accepting negative feelings is a first step to regaining a sense of calm. As I designer, I have the inquisitiveness of a journalist, looking to address the who-what-where-why-when and how of my subject. My current work, Thoughts, has proven to be as much of a catharsis for me as I hope it is for my audience.
