Blackboard 2.0
Blackboard is designed especially for students to view content and participate in courses. It is the most commonly used interface at universities in the US. Remote learning, imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic, relied heavily on Blackboard, but many experienced the interface as cumbersome, over-burdened with information, and devoid of interpersonal connection. My own experience and frustration with Blackboard during lockdown inspired me to rethink its offerings and redesign the interface. I sought to make it easier to navigate and added features that enable students to engage with peers in different classes in a variety of helpful, playful, and interactive ways.
