As a designer, I aspire to create work that is at once poetic and pragmatic; enigmatic and straightforward. In this publication, a visual representation of my mind during a time of intense solitude is offered up to the viewer, introducing them to the fear and discomfort and the hidden beauty that lay beneath the surface. Within the dark and distorted images and forms, there is a silver lining: lovely words of intimacy and poetry stitched and distorted between the lines, so to speak. Feelings of unease transmute into tacit understanding and solace, and back again, over and over. The experience is visceral.
